The Geographic Considerations in Evaluating Women's Employment Opportunities course equips participants with a comprehensive understanding of how geographic factors impact women's access to employment and business opportunities. This course explores the intersection of geography and gender, highlighting how environmental characteristics can either enable or hinder women's empowerment.
Participants will engage with animated videos, quizzes and interactive content to learn about the innovative analytical framework developed by the World Bank Group (WBG), which assesses the supportiveness of environments for women's job access.
Additionally, the course introduces the Gender Enabling Environments Spatial Tool (GEEST), a cutting-edge tool designed to apply this framework in real-world scenarios. Key modules cover the framework's three main dimensions: Contextual, Accessibility and Place-Characterization, culminating in a final exam to evaluate participants' understanding and application of these concepts.
