Geographer#

Siobhan Murray joined the DEC Living Standards Measurement Study (LSMS-ISA) team in 2010, after working in different parts of the Bank as a GIS consultant. She now works as a geographer with GOST.

A large part of her work program is focused on support to household surveys: promoting the use of GPS and other geo-referenced data in survey data analysis and dissemination and contributing to the research agenda on sampling, crop type and yield mapping and other areas of methodological research. She also supports other Bank projects in the integration of remote sensing and spatial data for a wide variety of applications, including regional trade and transport cost modeling, land cover change and measuring effects of weather shocks.
