Projects#
Gender Enabling Environments Spatial Tool - The project aims to propose a novel methodology and generate a geospatial open-source tool for mapping the enabling environments for women in a country that can inform new energy projects to support the advancement of women’s economic empowerment in SIDS while contributing to closing gender gaps in employment in the RE sector.
SAR data for WB operations - resources and examples to help you leverage SAR data (and optical data) for various mapping applications, in Google Earth Engine and Google COLAB.
Renewable Energy Zoning Tool - Identify and explore high potential project areas for solar, onshore wind and offshore wind development.
Global Offshore Wind Technical Potential - This dataset presents the technical potential for offshore wind development at the country level, split into potential for fixed and floating foundations.
Global Shipping Traffic Density - The raster layers were created using IMF’s analysis of hourly AIS positions received between Jan-2015 and Feb-2021 and represent the total number of AIS positions that have been reported by ships in each grid cell with dimensions of 0.005 degree by 0.005 degree (approximately a 500m x 500m grid at the Equator).
