Air-pollution spatial-change explorer#
This notebook shows where monthly NO₂, CO, and SO₂ columns differ from their expected seasonal levels. West Bank and Gaza are displayed separately so Gaza remains legible, while both maps use the same month, metric, and colour scale. Click either map to inspect the history of the nearest raster cell.
The seasonal reference is the mean for each calendar month during 2021–2022. It is a short exploratory baseline, not a long-term climatology or a causal counterfactual. The maps are not weather-adjusted. Transparent cells have no valid observations and are never spatially interpolated.

Choose NO₂, CO, or SO₂, then use Play or the month slider to move through time. The default seasonal anomaly is usually more informative than the raw column. Click a coloured cell to update the linked history below the maps.
