Data Science at the World Bank
Data Science is emerging as a critical capability across the World Bank Group, enabling more informed decision-making and impactful development outcomes. This course provides an overview of foundational concepts in geospatial data science, tailored to the needs of World Bank professionals, as well as various tips and tricks for performing geospatial data science within the World Bank environment.
Objectives
By the end of this module, you will be able to: - Understand the fundamentals of geospatial data science. - Identify key geospatial data sources and tools relevant to the World Bank. - Perform basic data science tasks using official World Bank platforms and resources.
Prerequisites
Before starting this module, ensure you: - work at the World Bank and have access to its data platforms. - have a basic understanding of Python.
